Each channel is filled individually before the panel is closed, so the sofa holds its line for years instead of collapsing into one soft mass. The velvet is a cotton blend chosen for how it takes evening light - the channels read as bands of shadow.
Both sizes are cut from the same bolt when ordered together. Dye lots vary; the pair is how you guarantee a match.

Order the three-seat and loveseat together and both are cut from a single bolt of velvet, so colour and pile direction match exactly across the two pieces.
